Lake Mead reunion V - date selected!

I wouldn't think so. I actually met someone who wouldn't put their truck on a gravel road because they were afraid of rock chips. It's not bad at all, just warning you.

there is tons of beach up around the glory hole, which is roughly 5 miles north of echo on the east shoreling, as near as i can tell its about the only beach left on lake mead.

That is where the floating toilet is, right?

Last year the shoreline was very shallow...it was like 3 feet deep only 50 feet from shore, so we ended up around the corner. Hopefully, this year, there is a little better slope because the sand is beautiful there. I will go there as soon as I get there on Friday.

Yes, they do make infant life vests. They still seem huge on a newborn, and most babies don't really like wearing them at first. But, most of the time, once they are on the boat, between the rocking motion and the sound/vibration of the engine, they fall right asleep.

no just in general anywhere along the shore line is pretty good, usually north a couple of coves from that bathroom, is where we usually camp.

Tour Guide for Sat Morning

Anyone launching Sat morning expecting to have a small crew and want to play tour guide?

Right now, it's the wife and I, but there is a good probability that her parents will join us for maybe just the morning, then head back to town.

I would buy someone a tank of gas if you were willing to take us on a "3 hour tour" of the lake! In the 5 years we have been coming, we have seen only a small portion of Mead, mainly from the marina to the reunion spot. I would love to see more of the lake, especially south, i think.

I rewired the stupid bilge pumps so hopefully they actually work now and will warn me as the water is rushing in. In theory, 2 bilge pumps might even keep ahead.
