    2009 XL factory bimini

    All,

Apparently the bimini that the factory used in '09 will fit on my '07 Z tower. It's called the XL Bimini. Does anyone have this bimini? If so, how do you like it? Is it easy to use? Does it rattle when stowed?
I'm also looking at the Samson and Monster biminis. I'm concerned about the Monster bimini because of the rear straps getting in the way of the board racks. My concern with the Samson bimini is, will it fit? And I've had one person tell me they were difficult to use.
With shipping, the factory bimini is over $300 more than the Samson or Monster. Thats over half of my FAE fund.

    Help?

    Thanks,
    Todd

I have been a little infatuated with www.towerbiminis.com and wonder what they could come up with for you. They look very sturdy and seem to be pretty user friendly. I think they can make them longer for you, within reason.

      Tall,
I've called TowerBiminis, but they don't make a Bimini for the Z, just the E. I would LOVE to have one if their's! And it's not about having a larger Bimini than what I already have, just a decent replacement for this p.o.s.

I have the xl bimini for our Z tower. Kinda tricky to put up. I love it when it is up, no staps. It does not rattle at all when up. It does rattle when stowed, however I have made a mod to ours to limit that and have an additional one in mind that I am going to do once I put the bimini on the boat for the summer.

If you use the swivel board racks and there is a board in the top position the binding does hit the bimini.

all in all I like it because it is very sturdy when up and good size coverage wise.
I'm on a boat man. I got my flippy floppies....

            Brown,

            Bummer.

The Salt Lake Dealer before the current dealer (Wasatch marine) had an over the tower bimini made by the local canvas shop that was outstanding, IMO. I wonder if you called Wasatch Marine, if you could talk to Jason and find out who he had used.
