Tint cost?

Has anyone gotten their boats tinted? If so, what was the cost?

Two shops local to me (central cali) quoted me $750 & $900 on my '05 22v. Seems really pricey but maybe there's more to tinting a boat than I realize.

Think I paid like $400 in Reno. How much curve is on your windshield, my glass is all flat on my RZX. You have a hard time even finding someone to tint super curved windshields up here, if they do it, they charge a bunch for it.

Just looked a a pic, that windshield is pretty curved, guessing that’s the reason.

I have had all 4 boats we have owned in the last ten years tinted. The first job was in Southern Cal, the other 3 were in Lake Havasu, AZ. We never paid more than $600, and the one time we paid that much was on a Z3 (curved windows as mentioned above).

I’ve had a buddy with a G and one with a sanger both have a hard time find a tint guy, the last couple of years. The sanger was last summer, and they wanted like $900, and told him they waste a bunch of time and material on those curved windows, which also could have been an excuse to gouge him since most shops just refuse, or they just hate doing them. There are only a couple of guys in town that will even try, and you pretty much have to know a guy, to get to that point. But we also don’t have a ton of people in town that do that “specialty” kind of stuff. I imagine you could get them done in SoCal, or Vegas, all day long.

Im in MS and there’s only one guy around here. He charged me $750. Removed glass one day and came back the next day to install.
