Samson Sports - the web site doesn't do justice to the quality of the products.

        racks

I use the samson's on my new boats. They have a shipment coming in at the end of the week. There is a video on how it works and installs, not sure if it is listed on their site.

I hate to post this picture since it's pretty bad (taken on iPhone in winter storage...but at least it gives you an idea. Obviously it's "swiveled" in. The quality of it is much better than the stock board racks (IMHO). The swivel mechanism is smooth and much easier to use as well (can be done one handed).

I'll be glad to...but It'll have to wait until this weekend. The boat is at the lake and I'm at work.

                  Shawn,

You said Z. If you meant Alpha Z, then disregard. Last year I got the Bullet lines twin surfboard set up as it fit right where the factory board racks go. In hindsight, I wish I would have spent a little more money and gone with the Endless Wave surf rack that Ragboy sells on his Wake9 site. With my oldest getting into wakeboarding, I now only have 2 spots for boards. I could definately use the extra 2. Eventually, I'll get the Endless Wave, but my search for a proper bimini is cutting into my upgrade funds.

I was told this weekend at the Wake9 festival that surf racks are not good for your boards especially if they are high end boards. If they are not tight in the racks they can bounce around and dent the boards. I really hate the boards laying on the floor though so I am not sure what I am going to do this year since I just bought a new Walker board and an Inland surfer 4-skim.

I have heard that from some people, namely dennis about boards in racks. The thing is, dennis is usually in the boat with a few people, and only going out to surf and come back in. When spending the day on the boat, you need the boards up. I have had issues with side racks, where the strap was WAY to tight, but not really bouncing around. I would say the best way to get the boards out of the way, is the Endless wave surf rack, and this is the same method, as when you would put boards no a car, so it is safe. The only draw back, is you have to have a monkey to go up and down, and I have a few.

The other draw back to the Endless wave rack is it doesn't work on an Alpha Z tower. Those of us with Alpa Z's are fairly limited when it comes to tower accessories....

thanks for all the input ,the endless wave is sweet but wont fit(dammit)but the samsom is cool too. someone needs to make a universal tube rail that mounts to the alphaz so we can have more options
