25zx "GO" system failue

Into my 2nd year 2021zx with pnp ballasts (two up front, two rear locker in addition to stock ballast). For the life of me we cant get the "Go" system to work. I get one wave, SHORT in length but TALL (pic included. I'm 1.5 board length away from the swim platform and i'm just behind the curl of the wave). I've tried every configuration of the GO wave, speed, taps setting, offloading non-surf side, flattening the boat, etc. The GO system is useless.

Anyone else experience this?

After pestering the dealer every week to get out on the lake with me for the last 3 months, which he still hasn't, he reached out to his "guy" at tige who said "the 25zx is just a big boat, that's the wave you're gonna get and the GO system will make minor adjustments." Talk about a disappointment and false advertising. Sure its the "innovation of the year!"

The wave is fun, good push in the pocket (albeit small, very small) and surfable: but limited to basic carving, slashing as there's really no room to catch speed for tricks without running into the back of the swim deck or lose the pocket. Its a small pocket.

Any other newer 2020+ 25zx owners see the GO system make changes to their wave? Any tige experts on the 25zx with suggestions to try in order to mellow the wave and lengthen (again i've tired every speed configuration, taps configuration, combinations, offloading ballasts, etc). I've read everything on the forum here, spent countless hours on the boat by myself at the lake. I'm about ready to try a side attachable surf swell/gate.

My two friends who have a malibu and mastercraft are dumbfounded by the wave, as they put out an additional 5-6 feet with a comparable boat length/ballast

As a general rule of thumb getting the bow lower and a hair more speed will lengthen the wave but the wave will flatten out a bit. May try lead/people weight in the bow/midship. For what it's worth your wave doesn't look that bad....what's your friend's boats?? X26/X24?? MXZ/25LSV??

Doing a demo on the GO system on the trailer would be a good idea. Get to dealer screen, put in 9191 and do demo on the trailer to see if actuators are functioning correctly..

Only thing I will say based on your pic is that my starboard wave is much taller and shorter than my port wave. My Z3 was the same. For the port side I put it on the most mellow settings and put speed 11.5-11.8. As freeheel said you might also put some lead in the bow.

I had a 2020 25ZX with the Go system and GSA tabs and now have a 2021 25ZX with the Go system and the new Tige tabs. If your boat has GSA tabs it will need lead up front, I had 300 pounds of lead in the front of my GSA equipped 25ZX. That will lengthen the wave. We almost always rode the 2020 with the steepness setting at 2. The 2021 with the Tige tabs is a different story, it likes weight in the rear and under the long seats. We don't run any lead in the front of our 2021. We are normally at wave setting 4 for steepness. We ride at 11.4 most of the time.

I would also run surf demo on the trailer as suggested above to make sure you are getting full travel out of your tabs.

Thanks for the the thoughts and feedback. Ran the surf demo this weekend. The actuators were moving appropriately on the trailer. Got in the water and it was a whole new game. The GO system was, for the firs time in two seasons, making visibly changes to the wave shape. Not sure what the issue was but thanks for the suggestion on running the demo, made the difference. I'm guessing the demo "reset" the system or something.

I went through dealer demo and found mine was only opening at a 5. I made it a 6 and it opened a lot more. I’m only a Zx 21 but can’t wait to try.

I had a similar conversation with dealer and Tige employee that said the 25 is just such a large boat that the wave is always pretty big.

It’s hard to smooth it down given the size and starting point of the wave.

Most of these boats need weight in the rear to get the wave started not full ballast but my RZX2 will make a wave empty if I use the Taps to get the nose up.

It’s just washed out and not what you would want. It’s big enough just doesn’t get the most out of the hull and surf system.

Add weight and get the rear down in the water and it shapes up nicely. I think the challenge with the 25 is exactly this. You have to add some to make a nice smooth wave but at that point it’s already large and there is no smoother or smaller option.

My daughter is fine on a beefy wave but some of her friends need a very mellow wave to enjoy. A 25 isn’t going to be ideal in my opinion because it’s such a beast.

Likely going to buy a zx3 next time around. Love my RZX2 aside from some bow splash it’s perfect!

The 25 IMO is the easiest to get it to do what you want. Its also the most versatile in terms of wave. Use the Go system in conjunction with wave tune (center plate). If its still too big for you then drop 10% at a time out of the rear. The boat stays perfect almost all the way down to 50% or so in the rear. If you are having issues you shouldn't be, not with any of the new stuff and definitely not with the 25.

Make sure that the correct model is selected as this affects the go system.
