Throttle response issue 340 HP Marine Power

I took out our 2008 RZ4 yesterday for a brief cruise and found a weird issue.

The throttle response was very off and it seemed as though the last half of the throttle motion didn’t have any effect on the engine. I was also only able to get the engine rpm up to around 3,500 rpm.

There were no alarms and other than this, the engine seemed to be running perfectly.

Any suggestions on what I should try? Is it possible the throttle just needs an adjustment?

Check your fuel pressure, I had a similar issue before my low pressure fuel pump went out. Wasn’t providing enough fuel to the high pressure pump. Next thing was “backfiring” if I went too high on the throttle because of a lean condition.

Plugs/rotor and cap worked for me..running like a bat out of hell!

I definitely agree with the two above posts, especially if you haven't "serviced" the angry pixie sparky side of things in a while! I would highly recommend replacing the fuel filter if you haven't done so this season. This does not sound like a throttle potentiometer issue.
