So I spoke with my dealer and sounds like this may be a know issue with a batch of v drives. More to come...

That is a bummer. We have the same boat only with the Raptor 575. The engine isn’t terrible but the whine of the tranny was different than our old 24ve for sure but it hasn’t been louder than I expected.

What RPMs are you seeing while surfing on the 440? Mine seems very high. Running 3800-4000?? That’s w no additional ballast or lead

On the 575 we are about 3100 with full PNP and a decent crew.

Jmoore15. What elevation are you? Prop could also be affecting RPMs.

I’m on Possum Kingdom in TX so elevation isn’t an issue.

I believe I was right around 3500 or less with the 460 raptor was only out for a quick surf so not totally sure.

3800 with the 440 depending on prop seems reasonable.

I am also having issues with a very load whistle above 2500 rpm coming from the transmission on my 2019 Zx1. The engine is a Raptor 400. any other fixes you can suggest? thanks.
