Man, I could talk Alaska for hours. Hopefully you're going to Seward for ocean fishing. I've always had good luck out of of there. Float planes are awesome. Did it one time. If you're going out of Anchorage it's probably to Alexander Creek which is a nice place. Very secluded. It's no too hard to find bears anywhere.
The daylight always throws people off. As a kid I loved it. We'd put up a tent in our back yard all summer long and just wait for my parents light to turn off, then we were out playing all night.
We are flying to Anchorage then driving to Denali park, Fairbanks, arctic circle, North Pole, Tok, Valdez, taking a ferry to Whittier, driving to Seward, Girdwood, then Anchorage. Should be right around 1800 miles.
