    Bad Weekend

The wind was blowing and my boat became unanchored while I was sleeping. After I discovered it was gone I found it approx. 3/4 mile away up against some rocks. Searching for a boat at 2 a.m. is not fun. Damaged the hull and slightly bent one blade of the prop.

Uggghhhh- that hurts to look at. I can definately feel your pain. Keep it in perspective- it could have been worse. Insurance will make it as good as new and you will not be able to tell. The hardest part is getting a timely repair this time of year. Good luck.

Dude - I feel so - so bad for you. I'd be crying if it was my boat.

From the pictures the damage seems to be only to the gel coat. Was there damage to the fiberglass in the hull?

No, there is no damage to the fiberglass. It looks like the damage stopped at the glass.

Sorry to see what happened to your boat, you say it came unanchored at nite what was the weak link, did you snap a line or were you dragging the anchor?

I quess the weak link was the anchoring, however the wind was blowing like crazy and it sat still not moving at all for at least 5 hours prior to it departing. All the anchoring was still attached.
