    Taps 3 update mounting bracket

    I have an 18 RZX2.

Came with the actuators in this location pic 1

Got it back from winter storage and I see there is some new mounting points. Pic 2 and 3

Anyone see a difference once they relocated the lencos?

I’m confused, did you ask someone to remount your actuators or do you get a complementary “surprise upgrade” with your winter storage?

It went to my dealer for bad v drive. While it was there they upgraded the mounts. I was not told that they were doing this specifically but I have had a few actuator failures.

My dealers awesome to me so I’m not concerned I normally just give them the green light to do whatever they say needs done.

Boats been great I was more just curious if anyone who’s had this done can speak to the change...

Okay I see what you’re saying now.

I had actuator failure on my ‘18 RZX2 (with actuators mounted outside of swim platform brackets). But that seemed to be more of an issue with the actuators themselves (water intrusion). I upgraded to GSA plates last year which require a much lower mounting position. No problem so far (knock on wood).

It seems as though the change they made to yours is not very drastic. But I do like the separate hull entry point for the cable. I’ve thought about doing that with my GSA setup - lots of kinking on my actuator cables where they enter the upper mounting bracket - probably going to fail at some point.

Tige essentially recalled the original position as they were known to bind and cause the actuators to go bad.

It’s an update in effort to reduce actuator failures..... these brackets allow a swivel motion too.... the update started in fall of 2018. I have a R23, I took delivery in dec 2018 and it was like your first pic. Had to go to dealer in April 2019 for first service and it came back with the updates.....
