Wow, that response is about as helpful as having my wife hold the flashlight.
iv’e looked into it a little.
it seems that if your going for the multi color, the best lights are going to seamlessly integrate with your existing light controller, sound system, etc. for Tige this appears to be shadow caster. For single color, luminescence per dollar seems to be a good gauge. Just be sure they have thermal protection. Also some of the lumen ratings you see are not true. Instead of measuring actual brightness the manufacture just calculates it based on maximum led lumen ratings. Light intensity ratings are effected by color/temperature and therefor these calculations are not effective on RGB units.

Ps I haven’t pulled the trigger on any of them yet. The manufacturers are price gouging as far as I’m concerned. And be skeptical about hire a mechanic to do any of the work. Most places are pretty shotty even if they come recommended by a friend.

Im interested only in the single white color. I noticed one model for example is rated up to 7000 lumens and voltages from 10 to 30 volts. I have to assume the 7k is with 30 volts and progressively less as the voltage decreases. Am I correct about that?

No they have voltage regulators in the led drivers. So higher voltages typically don’t create more light, just more heat.

I agree with Walker. They seem to be crazy crazy expensive compared to overall led light costs. I looked at multi color bs single color, and it seems like you get more bang for your bucks with single color. Most people I asked didn’t seem to suggest they change colors much.

I have really struggled with white vs blue vs led and since you have to drop several thousand dollars for lights, I have also not pulled the trigger. Freeheel keeps telling me not to get a plug light.

That’s all I got man.. let me know what you decide to do!

Its Bobby, correct, based on your user ID on another boat forum? Ego has nothing to do with anything. Im guessing that in your month of membership, you have not been able to read through the extensive amount of underwater LED experience ive shared here. And thats just one of many subjects.

Im guessing you are not one of the hundreds upon hundreds of Tige owners that have my cell number or direct email? So i guess you have not yet texted me at 5PM on a Sunday with a stereo or ballast question, and gotten a reply? So you may want to back off on mocking a member thats been here since 06 and has nearly 29K posts.
