    TAPS actuators

found cracks in both actuators. I am trying to hunt down replacements for my 2001 21v.

but benett’s closest length “A1200s” is about 1”-2” longer than my existing actuators. Has anyone ran into this?

    here are some pictures!

Can't remember model # off hand but it's really all about the stroke length. Think they were 1 1/2" or 1 1/4". I would just call benett direct. There should be someone there that knows what Tige ordered/used

I called Benett directly and they were not able to pull a part number unfortunately!

Well possibly see if the gang at Tige can help you with a PN. I'd have your HIN ready

That would be great, locked and loaded

For my own info...how does the gauge sense what level it is at? Is that something I need to re set when re-installing?

Also,Any idea why they would both break like this? It’s right here. I can’t confirm they weren’t already broken

The wire coming out of the actuator gives resistance and the gauge throws the needle based on the ohms given.

We may have the same actuator and I've been going through hoops trying to replace it or get mine in working order with replacement parts. What is your stroke distance on the actuator? Is it a green wire coming out that's leading to your taps gauge?

Here's an email from bennett to me trying to pinpoint my actuator part #. I have an 05 22v, but our actuators look identical. Mine is the TIGSA4015C.

My actuators only have hydraulic tubes going to them, no wiring. How does it sense it in that case?

also, yes...the two green wires land on my gauge. Is that the same for yours? Where does that come from?

do your actuators have wires going to them or only hydraulic lines?

I will have to go take a look in the morning. I looked from the inside. I even popped the upper hinge off and it was only the hydraulic hose.

Does your harness going to the pump have a green wire? My pump has a green wire in the harness that goes back to the relay. I would post a picture but for some reason the site won’t let me!

yup! Green wire going to the port side!

On the tige owners Facebook someone shared this part number for the actuator with the sensor!

                              TIGSA4015C

On the phone with Bennett! Grayson said it may match, he’s checking now. Does your actually bottom hinge come all the way up to the actuator body too?
