Taps gauge stuck

Hi Guys,

My taps gauge on out 2001 21v recently stopped working. The taps system itself still works. Any experience on a starting point with troubleshooting?

Quick note, my speakers would pop when using my taps system. So about a year ago I spliced 50v 100MFD mini capacitors into the red and white wire going into the relay. It solved the popping but I am wondering if this has anything to do with it.

Do you have a Bennet hydraulic actuator? Is there two green wires going into the back of yours taps gauge?

I just went through all of this fixing the same problem on my taps system.

Disconnect the little green wires at the gauge. Measure resistance between the two. You should see 240ohms or so. If you do, you lost power or ground at the gauge or the gauge is bad.

ended up finding the issue! Loose nut on the back of the gauge.

Yes sir! now on to trying and find an actuator or upper hinge replacement. Both up hinges have cracks in the neck on my actuators. Trying to find an actuator with a sensor that wont require modifications and or actuators. Our actuators are about 1" shorter that the a1200s which is benetts shortest actuator

Check the coil length on yours. I want to say the old style taps system used the same coil/upper cap as the 2005-2014 units.
I am showing 2.1"
