I am thinking about removing Convex VX hull extension on my ‘14 RZR. Can anybody tell me how it would effect the wake for wakeboarding? I’d really like to get a more vertical boost like my buddies Nautique 210.

Plus to VX especially with the RZR is it makes it act like a longer boat. Downside is it needs more weight. Are you running upsized bags/lead?? There was also a small run of geometry changes with the VX mount that changed the angle of the VX. Surf406 is the go to on that knowledge. The RZR/R20 bottom has a narrow beam but not really a downside. -
The vx has little to no effect on the wakeboard wake. At wakeboard speeds the hull is up on plane and behind the swim grid is mostly out of the water. How much weight are you running? The RZR wakes up with a lot of weight.Comment

I have the stock ballast in the rear and bow, as well as a custom #1200 lbs bag in the bow. I am exxxxtreamly cautious when I run the bow bag full. I also have a bow cover I put in place, so I don’t imitate a submarine. It a good wake but I have to work at it to get a great vertical boost, the other boat automatically feels like I’m jumping off a garage roof.Comment
