    Back seat stitching

Hey guys! So our rear seats keep having separation at the seam. We baby our boat but it’s inevitable that the back seats get stepped on.

Looking for some ideas and solutions! Reinforcing the stitching would be great and preventing it from happening again would be great.

I’ve seen some people turn the center seat into a step.

I am thinking about putting “gator step” type material under the whole back row so I can remove them when there’s a lot of in and out traffic.

Make that center section a flip over seat with traction material on the back for a step.

our old 22ve had removable seat corners in each corner that flipped over-not the entire cushion but 50% maybe. cushion on one side and carpet on the other for a step. worked great. iirc the rz line was similar:

the supreme dealer in phoenix install gatorsteps in the center of each seat ala centurion on each supreme boat for those that want it. told us it was around $250 for the materials and time to do it. don't know how or what they did but if you have a centurion dealer around might be worth a trip to their showroom to check it out.

I'd probably go the reinforced stitching route to take care of while swapping riders AND the gator route with removable seats for parking and swimming/chillin..
