Anyone using XM radio? Does anything needed to be added to the Clear screen to make it work? Tired of the blue tooth reception of our phones. It would be nice to just turn it on and let it go.

My boat is older so I don't have your same set up however I just mounted a 8" tablet with a ram mount and run Spotify/sd card/Pandora through a Bluetooth adapter tied onto the cmd5. I also have a Sirius Onyx on a lifetime subscription I run off an fm modulator or the auxiliary input. I move them from the boat to the Rzr to the trailer.. works nice, I keep Avenza Maps/onX and Google Maps for riding. Also nice on Lake Powell if you needed it. If I ever get the Surf Tabs with the Adrino setup it will run that too.

Josh, if I remember correctly you main issue is connectivity range?? Likely thus is the issue because you are an early version of 10" that didn't get what is called the "shotglass" which was an external BT receiver. That's why you have issues/complaints that others don't. I think you could add the shotglass receiver to your clear and update software....

^^or just try one of these....

How do I tell if I have this "shotglass" receiver?
Either way, I just don't care to use the phone for music anymore. $5 a month for 6-8 months seems worth it to just play music from xm and not listen to the same songs over and over. Does the clear system have all the xm stuff ready to go or do I need to add an antenna, for example?

IF the CLEAR is SAT ready, all you typically need to do is plug up the universal SAT receiver and mount the antenna.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Dave, most "aftermarket media units will display Sirius/XM logo somewhere on the face. Some will even show the Sirius/XM band as you mode through the available selections like TUNER, AUX, BY and USB. If Tige provides any lit for the CLEAR, is should show in there, that its SAT ready.
Hard way, find the back of the unit and paw through the cables and look for one tagged for SAT.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

As I recall, my screen does show a button for XM, which is what got me thinking about it a while ago. I was unsure if that meant it had the xm antenna and any related hardware already installed. I guess that is my real question then. When I get under the helm, what am I looking for in terms of hard parts.
Dave, thanks for asking dumb questions. No doubt there's more than just you and I wondering.

Josh, I have never had a customer request an XM install on a Clear(10"). Im not sure if it can be done. One thing I'm fairly sure of though is you would need an antenna and probably a standalone module that the antenna plugs into. Even then not sure its compatible with Clear.
I keep forgetting you got another boat. What year is it?? I'm guessing it does have the "Shotglass". Have you done any software updates yourself?? Go to dealer menu, check BT settings. Should be on "External ". Test after that and report...please

I would gladly test it out if I had it. My normal boat tech is playing ski bum somewhere so I took it somewhere else back in November and haven't seen it since.
All of this is off memory, so I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there was an option for XM next to AM or FM. Don't know what it means, but I'd think I'd at least have a chance of running it.
I'm pretty sure the boat has the original 2017 software. It still has the color wheel on the main screen for LEDs. So it has the software that Tige said "doesn't exist". We got the boat last September and ran it hard till the end of October and then put it away. Never had time to mess with anything.

The SAT connector looks basically like an S-Video plug. If the SAT plug is there and the sirius/XM logo is there or you see Sirius when you scroll through the media modes, then it should be plug-n-play once the antenna is mounted and connected to the receiver.
The industry finally when universal a few years back. So single receiver with common plug and operating protocol. No more brand specific receivers and cables or programing universal receivers for whatever brand head you needed to connect to.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
