    Lock down again

We over here in Victoria Australia are heading into a third lock down
This time for 5 days they are saying
We start now at 12 mid night
    Stay at home
    Schooling at home
Can only go out for food and a 2 hour exercise
    Will this ever stop

Preach Chp!! Apparently suicide, domestic, drug and alcohol deaths aren’t important in this, only the C19. Not to mention cigarettes kill about the same amount of people a year, and I can go buy a carton right now. These politicians just want to see what they can get away with, and they won’t stop taking power and rights away from citizens, as long as they can get away with it.

I luckily I got the vaccine, our area is starting to return to normal. We have around 30% of the population has had it, then 20-30% have been vaccinated. They are hopeful to have 50% vaccinated by the end of Feb- Mid march.

Sadly I know so many people that have died from covid, from super healthy 30 year olds to very sick older people. I lost 2 people I know last week. One was a 50 year old brick **** house of a dude that does ultra marathons and has a 8 pack. Killed him in 4 days. Then super fat people that are in their 60s are fine. Such an ******* of a virus.

Herd immunity would work, it would just cost a lot of lives to get there.

It is a MFer of a disease, and I have lost some people, also. It sucks, and I feel for anyone that has lost anyone. At this point, everyone knows the risks, and I’m not willing to give up my freedom, over it. I can risk my life in any other capacity, but I need government to babysit me on this one? I can ride my Harley 100 down the freeway with no helmet, go rock climbing, and buy all the Mac Donald’s, and cigarettes I want. Anyone can stay completely isolated and they know they’ll be fine. Vaccinate all the healthcare workers, because they shouldn’t be forced to take the risk. Vaccinate people at most risk, to lower the death count. Let everyone else, including me, take the risks I want. I don’t need to be vaccinated, save it for someone at a higher risk. If I die from it, that’s on me.

Not necessarily. First, I think we just put off the inevitable, with the early lock downs. This bug was going to get some people no matter what. 2nd. i think we could have done better to protect the most vulnerable, without the devastating economical and emotional lock downs and closures put on the general population.

Interesting how regional this thing seems to be. I know only two people to have contracted covid. One works in an assisted living center, so super high risk job. Had very minor symptoms. Had a neg test only 5 days after the pos test, then a 2nd neg test a couple days later and back to work.

Bonkers you know only 2!? Just at my work we are at 20 people. Only 3 with a severe reaction and 1 had to be hospitalized. We have 50 employees and it fits the national and international % of 16% or so of people get really sick from it. My area is a Covid tourism central, people come here to be more free, from WA, OR and Cali. They brought Rona with them constantly.

Early lock downs didn't work and cost our economy a lot. Our believe our state (Idaho) did a good job of balancing business and lives. But I would guess people would argue that one. I luckily haven't lost anyone super close to me.

This new style of vaccine is a game changer. It will forever change this world and could be the key to beating the flu, cold viruses etc...

The 2nd dose did beat me up a bit for 24 hours. We have seen about 50% of younger people get flu like symtoms within 24-36 hours of the 2nd dose.

Up here in Igloo country (BC,Canada) it seems as if the government fear mongering is working. You only have to go on a Social Media platform to see all of the stupid comments from people. I believe part of the problem is everyone seems to think if you get it you're automatically going to die or still a high percentage and it of course has proven to not be true. From the outside it does look like much of the states has just carried on with life right or wrong regardless of the numbers. It's the variants that are coming out that has me the most nervous as it seems like we will never get away from this BS. The vaccines aren't a get out of jail card like some people seem to think they are as they haven't been proven to work on the variants coming down just like a flu shot doesn't stop all flu's.

On a selfish side the crappy part of all of this is that as a border town the Sumas,WA border is less than 5 minutes away from us and most of us Canadians order off US sites and walk/drive across to pick up parcels as it's quite a lot cheaper. Shipping within the US is free most often and International shipping is stupid expensive and takes way longer to receive. Case in point I need to order 5 new trailer wheels for my boat, Canada has no stock and it will cost me and extra $200 to use a brokerage house to get the wheels brought over the line.

Anyone have 2 Carlisle Phantom 7's laying around?lol. The 15" is discontinued and I need 2.

They’re having people take 3 vaccines here now. I had corona back in June. I had 2 days where I felt terrible, and weird temps and a cough for a little over a week. I’d take that once a month, over everything else that I’ve had to give up over this disease.

That sucks, so she was part of the 5-10%?

I was in Idaho, in August, and Idaho seemed to handle it pretty well. Most stuff was open, people that seemed to be at risk seemed to be avoiding stuff, and people that wanted to wear masks, were. It should be that simple everywhere. I’ve since said “If I leave Nevada, Idaho would definitely be a consideration, after having been there, during this”. I’ve never considered leaving Nevada, until I’ve seen the way this was handled, and seen their complete disregard for personal freedom, or lack of care for small business survival.

                          Day 1
Just got up it’s 7.16 here now in the morning
I live beside a very busy road normally but this morning there’s virtually no cars on it driving
Sorry to here about all your guys losses over there
This weekend was shaping up to be a very nice beach weekend but sadly we are only allowed 2 hours out of our homes
Ours over here is getting out from international people coming here with it. They all must do a 2 week hotel quarantine at a special hotel but sadly for the third time now the hotel workers haven’t done there jobs correctly and they have contacted rona and brought it out into the community
How many times do we let our state government let this happen

We area is mandatory mask now, but really that means nothing since there is zero enforcement. I would say it's 50% in supermarkets and stores. I force my employees, they totally love it I am actually more afraid of one of them gets the virus, and they or someone they are in contact with dies and they sue me. Since we are a brewery/ restaurant they have a fairly high exposure. Math says with enough time it would happen.

We are masks as soon as we leave our homes
No people are allowed to visit your home
Only allow out to buy food or go to doctor that type of thing
Exercise only for 2 hours out side with mask on
Parks are closed as are most things
Government likes to control us now I think to see how much they can get away with
