Is trading my 2017 rzx2 for 23zx worth it?

For those that have experienced both, is it worth it? I have the power fold tower.....obviously no go surf system and older plates.....pretty much everything else though

Kind of a loaded question, that really only you can answer. Are you in love with your boat, or do you hate it? Does it meet all your wants and/or needs? Would you be going from no payment to a payment? Is the ZX new or used? Does it have options you don't have now, but want? Would you be expecting the ZX to surf/wake/ski/tube better? Would you be affected by a potential stock market crash and ensuing depression? (just throwing out random ideas here)

We can't answer any of those questions for you. Maybe tell why you are even considering it. For example, I also have a 2017 RZX2 and I'm in no way considering it. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be.

The affordability aspect is not an issue......candidly buying a depreciating asset is nothing more than an investment of family fun. I do not have the rear facing seat....now splash is a little annoying.....really looking to hear beyond the pickle front does it surf better without getting all the lead toting folks chiming in. The extra foot wouldn’t be bad as my prior boat was an rz4.

As Unstuck said, that is a loaded question that only you can answer. If you are looking for just the surf wave, I would say no. The 23ZX is only marginally better surfing than the 22RZX and you will still get splash. I don't think the ZX handles as well as the RZX lineup either.

If money weren't part of the question I would say it would be a decent improvement. You will gain size in both interior space and wave, much deeper hull, dryer ride, etc.

Yes the new go surf and gsa tabs will be a huge upgrade over taps 3 on your rzx. My bro has a 2018 23 rzx and I have a 2020 25ZX and hands down my surf wave is better every day with no added weight. He runs 800 pounds of lead and it’s still tricky to set up depending on crew in the boat.
