      Here is a pic with the measurement, as you can see, it almost an 1 - 1/8 inch.

        I see no wood in the repair. Mine delamined back to where the shaft exits the boat.

                Actually I am sort of surprised the insurance investigator did not say that you used the wrong fuel or were making left turns when right turns were called for. Anything to get out of paying a claim which is the norm with insurance companies. (Yeh I am bitter after my last accident claim that was not my fault that turned into a war with the insurance company.)

                  It was amazing after my lawyer sent them a letter how quick them decided to pay up. They probably would still be dragging their feet.
