Spiccoli: Should be Tige owner. His last line in FTARH:
"All I need is some tasty waves and cool buds and I'm fine".

The mystery is solved....My insurance company hired a marine forensic investigator and the report is in. I hit a submerged object. It left a 6” mark in the gel coat and causing it to defect down. It then barely dented the prop and the slammed into the rudder. It hit the rudder so hard it delaminated the hull from rudder to where the prop shaft exits the boat. This is probably absorbed the shock so I only felt it in the steering wheel. The dent in the prop blade was so perfectly cupped you couldn’t see the damage from the back side. Like I said earlier I admit when I am wrong and I was wrong!!

Well, i hope this is good news, is it fixable or will the insurance total it. Either way, it sounds like it's a covered incident, so hopefully you can come away with some sort of favorable resolution.

At least you know what happened now sorry you went through so much to figure out you hit something. I fortunately did not have that problem I knew I hit something the instant it happened. It was not fun. I was not driving the boat anywhere. It was dead in the water.

Glad to hear that the mystery is solved. I hit a submerged object before and my insurance covered everything. This boat was an I/O and $3500 dollars later from the insurance company, I was back on the water.
Here is pic of the thickness of my hull with the rudder removed:
