I don't like the Warranty terms but do understand clearly that it is what it is.

A catastrophic failure such as what is pictured in this thread, if it was caused by nothing other than a defect as it might have been ... also is what it is - a defect.

I did not even get an option on the 10 years cause our Dealer did not deal in Tige's and there was no manual. I also did not do my research. Thankfully I feel a bit at ease as it seems most Tige's are built extremely well.

And what caused the delamination and where are the pictures of the delamination.

IMPO The real cause would be the rudder hanging back 8 inches of the prop gaurd/bow of boat WAY to high causing rudder to sit low to road and got drove upward causing failure.

When my rudder hangs back 8" it's because I am trying to hide something from the front.

It is just best at this point to turn it over to the insurance agency for repairs.

I had the same issue. I bought my 22v from a Malibu dealer. He said it had a lifetime warranty on the hull. Not until this happened did I find out I was suppose to pay $500 and Transfer within the first 10 days. I didn't get a manual with the boat. Expensive lesson learned.

I don't think the OP needs to be accused, harassed, or pestered from what he asked, did, and wanted to do.

This is a site to help fellow Tigeowners and not to point fingers if something was wrong.

That is pretty harsh, especially coming from someone in your position in the industry. I don't see anything wrong with this thread.

On a serious note...I agree that this needs to be a safe place to discuss all things Tige...the Tige Nest...

I dont agree with what 91 terminator said either , but I still dont like the insinuation that the rudder problem is a lamination problem with nothing but a theory, delamination can still be caused by a slight impact to the rudder and with usage gradully came apart, this is a theroy also and due to a couple of differences in theory backed up by evidence of a boat improperly on the trailer, it is the more likely of the 2.
Im not saying that a boat manufacturer cant make a defect but until you have evidence that is conclusive to that effect dont make harsh and insulting statements.
Your opening statement to this thread was just that and we are here to help.
Ive been trouble shooting problems for many years , and you have to look at and analize all senerios and see what is the most plausable.
You did in fact state at first that the fiberglass was to thin but with no data, and now delamination, but what caused delamination?
I do hope you resolve your issue and have many hours of family fun and remain as a Tige owner and on this site it is a good groupe people who love to share there knowledge , they build a top notch boat.
