I have been at the beach throwing down some Miller lites and found my 47' center console in the same situation. 6 hours later all good expect we didn't pack enough brew. A very sobering experience!!!!!

I just saw this thread a little late for sure. My damage was just as bad as that and it took hitting a rock at 23MPH with the TIGE pro rider behind the boat riding. That port is for sure the factory port. When they rebuild it it will not look like that because the only way to get it to look like that is to have the molds. At least that is what I was told by Ed at that factory. He is the production manager and one amazing fiberglass worker.

It is sad to see this I did not read every post in the thread. I hope it all works out for you.

It's all good now and should be fixed by next weekend. I though it was a good opportunity for Tige to show how they stand behind there product. i can't await for the pictures from the glass guy when he cuts to the bottow of the problem.

                  Goose69,

Good Luck and I commend you for the calm attitude you have been able to portray thru all the posts.

I can say from experience that persistence can pay off. Another part of my education is not advertise my problems or concerns on the forum anymore. I am currently dealing with an issue that just keeps dragging on and altough frustrating I will give Harvey sufficient time to address my issue and be fair as possible.

I reported this issue when I took delivery in 2008 and am patiently waiting for the replacement part. The forum is a place to get feedback but it is best to just keep issue between boat owner and Tige. There wil be times to skip the dealer since you are your best advocate and a dealer unless business is slow prefers T&M work vs. warranty work.

To be fair not all dealers are like this but there are some. The dealers who contribute on TigeOwners are ones that I think are customer advocates and deserve our respect and civility.

This type of issue depends on your dealer but if I need Tige work done I will take mine three hours away to go to one of three dealers I have had success with and trust.

With my open issue being 25 months old it seams like sufficient time to deliver the promised part so I figure that if I don't see it by July 4th a polite memo will be written to help resolve an issue of poor workmanship that has existed since December of 2006 but not a warranty issue until April 2008.

Again good luck and best of luck to your son in this years competitions!

Mystery solved!! the reason the rudder failed is because the hull delaminated from shaft exit to stern.

What does that mean? The gel coat came apart from the fiberglass? For those of us who are sort of stupid, I need a pic or more detailed explanation as to what it is and what could cause that to happen.
                      Be excellent to one another.

That is what the life time warranty is supposed to be all about.

If the warranty was transferred (and then, it changes to a 10-year coverage, correct?).

That's my understanding of the hull warranty. Lifetime for the original owner and 10yr (starting from the original in-service date) IF the warranty transfer app is done and the $500 fee is paid. The Warranty is on page 1-19 the Tige Manual in the download section above.

I believe that the rudder, the trailer and the fluctuation in the Colorado river is all George Bush's fault.
