I too find it simply amazing that this has been argued for 4 pages now It doesnt matter in the slightest, how it happened, whether it was a freak thing or a strike, whether it was damaged buy the original owner or not, it doesnt matter whether the boat was not reinforced properly when built......

    BECAUSE......................!!!!!

Unfortunately, the boat is out of warranty. I'm not defending Tige, it's as simple as a basic contract, and i'm not trying to grind salt into Goose's wounds as I feel horrible that this has happened to any boat owner of any boat.

I do, however, feel that that may be the wrong trailer for that boat, or maybe even setup wrong, cause it dont look right to me at all. Good luck Goose, i hope it gets fixed fast and your boy is back on the water behind it.

Hope you get back on the water soon Goose. I agree with what some others have said, that the rake on the trailer just can NOT be right. Definitely get that checked out!!

I KNOW SPBFAN hit a rock, I also know he had the same repair done on his rudder. I was only suggesting that maybe he would have some solid input on the repair. I am in NO way saying anything negatative about the Tige Hull. Right about now, I will step off and let the adults talk

Thanks for everones support and information on my trailer set up. I have them moving the boat forward 6" and dropping the front bunks 2" 's. I am counting the days til it gets done, but in the mean time we have a Super Air Nautique being loaned to us. Nice boat, but a little to narrow for my liking. Got my insurance check today and all is good. God bless all!!

Great, glad it worked out. The best part of this forum is people willing to put on their thinking caps to help figure out issues that as individuals we may have missed. Hope to see you on the lake one day. We typically go to Lake Russell but once or twice a summer we make it down to Clarks Hill and put in at the big Dorn Ramp near McCormick.

I don't think the issue is his warranty that most of us are debating. I think I am interested in if Tige made a boat that had a catastrophic spontaneous failure after 7 years. This boat could have very easily sunk with that kind of failure. If it was due to a manufacturer defect, it would make you kind of scared to be in one. I think something else happened somewhere, so I would still stand up for Tige. BTW, would anyone know of an RZ2 2009 with a Z tower for sale?

By moving the boat forward as much might have a significant change in the tongue weight.

That is why I offered the suggestion to have a qualified trailer place deal with the modifications...

The max tongue weight for your vehicle/hitch will likely be listed on the hitch. You do not want to exceed that especially if you pull any distance. If too heavy upfront, it will cause unnecessary wear and tear on your vehicle, too little and you run the risk of having handling issues especially in an emergency maneuver.

Just something I would think you want a knowledgeable person making changes to...

I've always been told 10%-15% of the gross trailer weight - your guys doing the repairs should know.

He should have let it sink, claimed the insurance & invested in "Hooked on Phonics"...

I would strongly consider it, if the price were right and it were well taken care of.
