New Z3 wake plates

If they were doing it to save the $$$, wouldn't they put them on all their boats though? Lee pointed out that these plates are specific to only the new Z3 which makes me think it is performance related to the new hull shape.

My first thought was that the plates looked like a hybrid between GSA and Mastercraft Gen2 plates.

^^they do look a lot like MC plates and also Regals surf plates, and some others, and all of those guys are getting their plates from Lenco.

Maybe Tige is doing these plates in house, but for anyone thats done a factory tour there really isn't a space for them to add a good size press break and the cutting tools to make the plates. Id guess they are coming from Lenco, but Ive been wrong before and will be wrong again. Sticking with the buy it and put it on the boat formula is certainly faster than tooling up to do it in house and build spots are maxed.

I still think theres something to be said for Lenco being under the Brunswick umbrella, but thats a different topic.
