    Tige ZX1

Hello everyone, new Tige owner here! Just bought a 2019 ZX1. Looking forward to getting to know this beautiful machine. One issue I have noticed that I'm struggling with a fix for, is the little rubber stops at the bottom of the engine cover. When you step/sit/lay etc on the walkthrough/engine cover, it puts a large amount of stress on these little rubber mounts. So much so that after 70 hours they have all but failed. Anyone else notice this issue, have any ideas for a solution??

Can't wait to get to know people on this site, have already learned so much reading posts.

    Thanks in advance!

After three years my rubber stops are in brand new, pristine condition. Why? Because they sat so low the engine cover didn’t even touch them. Instead it rested on the deck gel coat. That gel coat is complete worn away now showing the glass underneath it.
the first thing I did when I purchased the boat two months ago was stack a bunch of washers under the bump stops to raise them up. It won’t get worse now, but the damage has been done. Sounds like your bumps are doing their job. Replace them and be happy.

Wow love the colors. black metal flake never disappoints. Trying to remember what mine looks like but isn't there some sort of weather strip like material on it as well that takes some of the load.

I have added some additional weather stripping to help alleviate the load carried by those bump stops...hope it helps cure the problem! I appreciate the kind words!

You are correct, live about 20 miles south of Green Bay, WI. Appreciate the response. Looking forward to being apart of the Tige family

I found some replacements from grainger and installed the new ones, just a little worried on how quick they were worn out. Seems like the G's have a slightly better process of a latch towards the center, stopping the rubber/gelcoat from receiving the damage. I know exactly what you are talking about. As of now have light rubbing in that area, but can easily see how that may rub through. Thanks for the insight.

wow crazy. I lived in depere for 4 years(couple blocks from The Pig) and when we moved there our short term rental was behind the river inn in wrightstown. I miss the people and food there immensely... hands down the nicest people I have lived around....
and everyone there knows how to use a roundabout... vegas has no idea what they are for.

enjoy the fox if you boat on it.

Nice ZX1. What type of garage "header clearance" do you need with the tower folded to clear the garage door opening?

I'd like to know as well. I just bought a 2020 zx1 yesterday and have an 8 foot garage door...assume I'll have to see if I can get it to 9 feet.

I had 95 1/2" to fit it in. To make it work I removed the board racks, and deflated the tires from 55-60psi to about 25. Also I have a B&W hitch that allows lowering of 3". This helped with the slight pitch of the driveway. Doing this allowed the boat to clear by 3/4". However if the boat wasnt lift bound for the usable season and had to be pulled in and out time after time, without question the boat would be stored elsewhere. Once going and once going out isn't the worst! I also suggest getting a 5 ton jack to put your trailer up on blocks. I have it so the tires are ever so slightly touching the ground, but fully relieved of pressure. Off subject but a good way to store it! Hope this helps, let me know if I can help with anything else
