    fix before selling???

I do love my Tige' but it has been one thing after another in repairs. Not all necessarily Tige' problems but they are adding up to the point that I am questioning whether it is time to upgrade, because....what will go wrong next?

    2013 Z3

My interior is getting bad and my wife wants it fixed before it is all ripped and can not be covered with just a towel....Looking at 5-6k to have new interior made. I contacted Tige' and they were not interested in selling me new skins...(just comparing pics of the '17-'18s it looks the same, maybe not)

So would I get my money of investing in redoing the interior back in the sale, or would I be better off listing as labeling is??

I think you'll likely do better as is if its not too rough.
You rarely get your money back from modifications/upgrades IMO

You many not get dollar for dollar (like adding $5k above market cause thats what the stereo costs) if you invest in new interior then sell shortly after, but it will help the boat be more competitive in attracting buyers and help it sell at a market value.

Or just list it at low book to adjust on the front side, for the interior as is.

we had issues with our '14 z3 interior and justin at tige told us that they are running low on colors of the skins from your year. they are holding on to what they have left for some reason but we were told the same thing. the 18's might look similar but according to him the upholstery is different. our '20 r23 interior looks the same as our z3 but we can tell a difference in the "feel" of the material.

chp and sonic are right. spend 5k and you might get 3k back but if you don't spend any, you might have to deduct further. when we bought our '14 z3 in '18 we passed on a few used that indicated upholstery work needed and in my mind it throws up a flag, right or wrong, that maybe the rest of the boat wasn't taken care of as well.

listing now, you are going to take an even bigger "winter" hit and interior will not help that. if it was my boat, I'd do the interior over the winter and reassess in the spring. you might get it done and decide to keep another season....

If the interior isn't too bad, I would sell now. You won't get the full investment back.

I think you need to be careful with this one. Decide what you need out of it and then what it could be sold for as is or with a brand new interior. In that price range I think you’ll find more people willing to pay extra and finance the interior then selling as is and having people willing to put out cash after the sell to fix it.

Opinions seem all over the place. I would stay away from a 7 year old boat with vinyl that is in bad shape. I wonder what other care and maintenance did they skip.

Put another way, every buyer in that price range is going to take a look if the interior is done. A certain percentage will walk without every calling. It is a little like having an outrageous color, try not to limit the potential buyer pool.
              Be excellent to one another.
