Looking at our first boat. Really like the 21zx. Seems like a pretty good deal and wondering how it surfs? Surf is primarily what we will do but will also wakeboard some.

Looking at a 2020 Tige 21zx or a 2021 Moomba Kaiyen. Tige is a little more expensive but way nicer inside. Which is going to surf better? Local Moomba dealer hasn’t been great to work with and has no boats to look at in person. I’ve heard great things about the dealer but they have no inventory so maybe that’s why they haven’t been too responsive. Anyways
Save money with the Moomba or go with the Tige? -
We first saw a Tige in 2017 and that was at the beginning of the bug to get a surf boat. I did the research and then went and shopped the other brands, Axis, Mooma, Malibu etc. They all put out a pretty good product but the Moombas ranked the lowest for us but only because we weren't big on the squarish styling (after seeing the interior of a Z3 with diamond stitch, etc). It also seemed like a lot of the moomba thread were about how much lead you had to get in it to see a great wave. They're both great boats, you're spending a lot of money, don't skimp on the last few thousand. Get the one that looks killer and feels right. There shouldn't be too many negatives in the Con column, with this many great products out there every part of that boat should excite you.Comment
