The one I posted is from FAE

I've never tried backflushing it but in theory FAEs flapper is basically a check valve...as long as exhaust doesn't flip it half open while some water reverted, but doubt that could happen.

Nice work Bamer! Let me know when you figure out the timeline and have the code. I'll try to be better about checking in here every couple of days.

Current Silent Rider factory setup. The flapper is pretty much a one way valve as freeheel was saying.

Thanks for the pic!! Havent had one of the new exhausts out of the boat yet. They sound so different when running on the fake a lake.

                Cool,
I like that it's at an angle so that it stays closed by gravity. The vertical ones I imagine will eventually set open from the heat and constant force on them from the exhaust.

I think there are a few of us mid 2000 22ves doing this. I have a 2007. We can start a zoom chat

                              LEARN MORE at www.FreshAirExhaust.com

We have a surf exhaust for every Tige, both dual and single exhaust outlet. Our Fresh Air Exhaust systems are the original surf exhaust, working to make boating safer and more enjoyable since 2004. With the FAE installed, you will experience reduced exhaust fumes (include carbon monoxide) by at least 90% and reduced engine noise, up to 50%. We are the cleanest and quietest exhaust system for every inboard boat! If your boat does not already have a Fresh Air Exhaust, now’s a great time to change that!

Everyone participating in the group buy can place their order online at https://www.freshairexhaust.com/your-boat/tige/ or by calling 512-647-7321.

When ordering, use promo code 20TIGEOWNERS to be included in the group buy (cannot be combined with any other offer and is only available on direct, retail Fresh Air Exhaust orders). The group buy discount is $50 off each participating order. Once the group buy reaches 5 participants, the discount will increase to $75*. *(Once the group buy reaches 5 participants, the first 4 participants will automatically have their discount increase to $75).

When checking out online, please note that no charge is automatically made to your card entered at checkout. The standard FAE for any Tige with single exhaust outlet has a support bracket that mounts to your center transom bracket (not the platform itself). We can also make your FAE a through hull mount if you prefer (no external bracket). *The thru hull option is not currently listed online so please note in the comments box when checking out if you are interested in a through hull mount or would like more information on that option. Our team will follow up with each boat owner to verify details of the order and request measurements if necessary to complete the FAE build. MEASUREMENTS ARE NOT NEEDED TO PLACE YOUR ORDER AND LOCK IN DISCOUNT. At this time, our turnaround time is approximately 1.5 – 2 weeks.

Any questions can be directed to our team at mail@FreshAirExhaut.com or by calling 512-647-7321.
