Sounds like you have a 6.0 ready to tow. Sure you probably over its capacity if towing a 25' but who isn't these days <eye roll>. Even if the 5R110 takes a poop you can probably get out the door for around 5k on swap, 3k if you do it yourself.
The price of new trucks has gone up so much its staggering. Im just going to keep old stuff running.

Also, from your previous post, you can get anything you want done in Oklahoma man. Those guys haven’t seen a car they didn’t go after with a torch. Lol

We are looking at the new Yukon XL Denali diesel and the max tow rating on it is ~8,100#. Which I am afraid is too close to tow our 23ZX. We would prefer a SUV as 90% of the time it is family, dog, gear in the SUV for long weekend trips. I wish a newer SUV would be built on the 2500 platform.

The new 2021 3.0L Duramax models have improved tow ratings due to improved engine bay materials (from what I’ve read), but probably not enough to make a huge difference, especially in the Yukon which has a lower tow rating to begin with.

BrentB Im very curious to see what the sticker says for payload on the driver door frame. Half tons with diesels often have lower payload capacity than their gasser counterparts because diesel blocks are heavy(compacted graphite iron). Havent looked at newer numbers though. I wouldn't be surprised to find the tongue weight alone is 600-700lbs on your RZX2. If you only have a 900-1100 lb payload rating you you could be over as soon as bodies are put in the vehicle.
Not that I care at all.. its just something I find gets overlooked a lot. GVWR is what people tend to jump to, while overlooking that they have exceeded payload rating.
