2000 2100V Cut TAPS Hydraulic Line Repair

My TAPS does not work. I have a 2000 2100V with one of the TAPS hydraulic lines cut. (Last year, after getting some repairs done the TAPS stopped working. Not sure if they accidentally clipped or what or the line just failed). Has anyone done this repair? Here are questions I have.
    • Should I run a new line from the pump to the cylinder or should I splice the line somehow? (I was assuming I needed to run the whole new line)
    • What hydraulic fluid should be used?
    • If redoing the line, what sealant is recommended to plug the hull hole that runs out to the cylinder? It appears to be a black foam-like sealant now.
    • Do I need to take care to insure air is fully bled from the lines or is this not an issue?
    • Any tips?
Thanks in advance for any answers or tips you can provide!

I would run a whole new line. Be sure to get the ferruels as well since you are not supposed to reuse them.

ATF is what the pump uses. No need to bleed the system. It will automatically bleed. The actuator has an internal spring in it to retract. All the pump does is allow the system to bleed off when you say to move the plate up.

Silicone is always recommended anytime you need to seal up an opening on a boat. Boat Life Life Seal is what is used in house.
    Oh Yeah!
