So I posted about a power issue yesterday so here is what I found out and how I fixed it. Yesterday turned on blower and lowered boat in the water. After a few minutes went to start it and it would not start or even try to turn over. No sound nothing and then I realized blower was off as well. Then I realized no power to the boat at all.
Ok I got it fixed! It was the battery shut off switch. I heard Blue Sea switches can fail a lot. So here is how I checked it. I used a 12 volt light detector with a ground wire. I first tested battery all good. Then I checked the red cable leaving the battery and it was hot. Then I checked the red cable leaving the shut off switch no power (I got it) . Took off the red cable going to shut off switch and placed it on the other side of switch with the outgoing other red and there you have I got power back to the entire boat. So bad switch! I heard Blue Seas will maybe send me a free switch so I will buy one to get boat going and then see if I can send them the bad one so I have another laying around. So if you ever have no power and the battery is good try testing this little bugger. Save a nice service call and repair bill.
