unstuck, I've been contemplating the same thing. I think we could sell our r23 in the low90's right now as a 2020 with 15hrs on it and we would come out real good based on the deal we got last summer. it's sure tempting but I also don't believe that boat prices are going to go back to pre-covid for a few years if ever so we are batting around if we do sell it'll be the end of wakeboating for us. seems that pricing continues to climb and someone over on another forum had a dealer letter from 'bu stating they are going to see "above average" price increases on 2022's due to chip and resin shortage.

Mandatory vaccinations for foreign travel are not going to slow down many people. Now that 150 million doses of the most scrutinized vaccines in the history of the world have proven safe, folks will eventually let go of the politics of it all and get vaccinated.
The bigger problem is that a lot of people who got into boating when there was no travel have decided they really like it, and are going to keep Wallying around on the lakes. I suspect it will be a couple of years before any significant reckoning of supply and demand.Be excellent to one another.

TRUE, Ill wait for the market to crash again as it did before, before re entering the boating world.

we cashed out as well. sold the r23 and closing with the new owner on tuesday.
they are putting metal grates down at mead to extend the launch ramps and several are saying by end of july half of the remaining ramps will be dry. going to turn that lake into a $hitshow to try and drop a boat in. that really finalized it for us.
will miss it for sure.2012 22ve.. RIP 4/17

it was on onlyinboards. 5 solid leads and a sale in 24hrs. still getting a random email/text even marked pending. could have sold 15 of them.
going to norcal. guy closes on tuesday and picks up friday.
interested to see what unstuck says about powell. heard it's real bad. gf is on a powell boating fb page and nothing good coming out of there. she reads about a boat beached or torn lower ends seems every other day. mead is underway extending the ramps with metal grates and talk is calville will be dry by mid july. I don't see the west getting better for years. they are talking about cutting water rights to stop the bleeding but lawyers will turn that into years and $$2012 22ve.. RIP 4/17

We bought our 1st Tige in 2012. It was a 2004 22i. We paid 24k, and were thrilled to trade it in 3 years later for 23k. NADA booked it out at 27k at the time, I believe. When we traded it in, it had approximately 260 hours. It was in very good condition. Fast Forward to yesterday.
We went in to a Tige Dealership to discuss a warranty item repair. They had just sold a 2005 22i for... 35k! The boat was in desperate need of a complete vinyl replacement, had more than 600 hours, and the trailer had quite a bit of visible rust. The family that purchased it drove from Nebraska to pick it up.
I told my wife... I don’t think the Tige dealership was being unethical. They sold the boat for what the market value is. I don’t necessarily think the buyers were uninformed either. They must have been searching for something to make the drive from Nebraska. I will say my mind was blown at the current market value of a 16 year old direct drive boat.

Thoughts? It's getting lots of his and likes.....that doesn't mean much though. Been for sale at least 17 days. Looks to be in great shape.
