    New motor on the way.

Cracked the block a few weeks ago. Bilge filled with water while we were underway and apparently the motor was hot enough and the water cold enough that it craked the block.

Insurance finally got all their stuff together and cut a check today. Now to wait for the shop! Can't happen soon enough.

Oh - and props to SeaHorse Marine insurance for taking care of this without too much hassle.

    That's all.

    Edited for spelling.

Actually, the plug was in. I hope I learned that lesson with my first boat. LMAO.

They had an independent inspector go look at the boat and there was an issue with the water pump seals going into the motor or some thing like that? He said that caused the motor to run hot and dump water into the bilge. So yes that will get fixed as well. The issue could not be listed under wear & tear because we have owned the boat less than 1 yr, and it was fully serviced by a Tige dealer when we bought it.

But your profile says your boat is a 2005?

Was this a Marine Power engine?

So it does not count as wear and tear on a 5 year old boat because YOU only had it for less than a year...Good Job!

I think you should do some negotiating for me next time I need something. I will give you a call.

                Update......

Ski Dock (Tige dealer in Austin) was putting in new motor and realized that obviosuly the boat had been used in salt water and not cleaned. The block itself cannot be replaced as all the other stuff on the motor is corroding so bad that they will not warranty it. Can't fault them for that. They are going out of their way to provide everything to the insurance and the finance company to help get the boat repaired. Props to the Ski Dock.

Here is the sad part, I bought this boat from another Tige dealer. This dealer sold the boat brand new to original owner, has done all the maintenance prior to re-sale and then re-listed it for sale for that owner and sold it to us. We have contacted this dealer and basically got the big FU. That is too bad.

More exciting updates to come, I promise.

Got her back last Friday! Runs like a champ and looks great. I need to call Perfect Pass and see what I need to do to get it working. We just paid to get it fixed and out of the shop, and our attorney is handling the recovery.
