Ray Roberts Suggestions

Trying to escape the crowds around the DFW area lakes...
Wondering if worth the drive to Ray Roberts? Suggestions on where to launch and best areas to surf? Any places to eat lunch and/or live music on the lake?
Coming from Ft Worth side of the Metroplex (Keller).
Thanks for any suggestions!

Ray Roberts is normally pretty quite.....launch at Isle Du Bois State Park.....head straight to the damn nearby for water sports....don’t think there’s any restaurants on the lake but maybe wrong. If you are getting away from crowds probably best lake in DFW for it. All the people looking for crowds go to Lewisville


This is one of the best ramps I’ve seen.......I think you may need to call the state park to check in with covid restrictions. A coworker told me you have to get reservation....
