Bamer, great points. The thing I hear a lot of lately is "My Tige has an issue" or "This Supra is lemon" or "How does MC have issues with ballast tanks".
End users don't realize or care(nor should they have to IMO) that the builders are mostly only building a hull and deck and vinyl in house. The rest of a lot of your list comes from outside suppliers.
Wet Sounds had a bad run of amps that squealed when a capacitor got hot.. Lenco had actuator seal failures industry wide(yes some were worse than others based on geometry). I dont know who rotocasts tanks for MC but its an issue. I get towers in from GereMarie on MC that need fixed on a PDI as soon as its unloaded from the truck(caught on a PDI as Mike mentioned). We all know that both Medallion and Murphy touch screens occasionally need replaced. Indmar got a bad run of cats from their supplier. Ilmor has a mandatory service bulletin for hoses that are defective on the new 6.0MPI currently. Some Skiers boards have bag fittings fail because the hoses didn't get enough relief and rip the port out of the bag. Have customers that bought MB/Centurion/Axis from other dealer that still come back and pay despite warranty. Just had an ignition relay fail on an 19 Axis and diagnosed and fixed it a 630PM in the parking lot.
I could go on and on. My end point is about the same as always. Everyones poop stinks. Even mine. Really just depends on who's making the poop disappear and how quickly and efficiently AND get it covered under warranty. Hoops to jump thru on the dealer end and IMO Tige is our easiest brand to deal with getting warranty parts/claims covered so people can get back on the water. Dealer support is make or break for the end user and this is a prime example.
Sorry for the rant and my .02. Just that time of year for us grunts that want everyone boating happily. To the OP Im genuinely bummed that you arent happy with your boat.
