    Need new prop

Heavy wind knocked me on shore and I damaged the prop on my 2021 25ZX, on the day of delivery, so, I'm looking for recommendations. The Acme 2693 seems to be good for all around and the 3163 for wake and surf.

What do you have and why? Thanks so much.

Aw, C'mon. No one with a '19-'21 RX5 or 25ZX has replaced a prop? One dealer told me it's an OJ 741. Any recommendations?

Sorry. Hadnt seen this. What engine package?? 400, 460, 575?? Do you know your current final ratio?? 1.76:1, 2:1??? Shaft size...1 1/8 or 1 1/4?? What prop is on it currently?? Are/were you happy with it before the prop took the hit??

I've really fallen off on what is new offerings with 5 brands to keep track of.

I have no experience or knowledge about your boat. Call nettles prop and ask them.....they are awesome

As far as OJ, I’ve heard less than great things about the quality and thickness of the metals they use....

2693 would be a good prop with the 460 for sure.

there was a lot of buzz and issues back in 2008-2010ish range on the skiers choice forums on OJ props and a "growl" that would happen when loading the boat down to surf. the solution was to swap out to an acme prop.
no one ever figured out what was driving the issue and OJ was pretty quiet on it.
fast forward to today and most of the skiers boats are coming propped with OJ from the factory with not a lot of complaints that are posted.

my coin, based on past history, would go to nettles and get a new acme.

I have the 440 with a Johnson 741, 16.5 x 16.5 with 1 1/4" tapered shaft. A good prop shop in Spokane says they can fix it for $200, but they said I'd need a $150 prop puller tool to get it off and they're a 3 hour round trip.

My plan is to pull the prop/have it pulled after the season ends in mid-September and bring it to them. I don't think I have any shaft, seal or bearing issues as I'm not getting vibration, but it does list to the right under full power. Anyone ever pull a prop?

you will likely need something to assist. I didn't have an "official" prop puller to yank my supra prop off. ended up using a cheap harbor freight 2 arm puller that I had laying around. worked fine.

might find someone local that has one you could use otherwise they are on the internets in the $80-100 range if you hunt.

if it was my boat I'd get it fixed or buy a spare and replace now. I'd be worried about any harmonics going up through the shaft into the vdrive/trans and wearing out a seal prematurely.
                  that's just me tho.....

^^^im with sandm....get it fixed ASAP....I’d buy a new one and keep repaired one as a backup

Puller $100 at acme or for $180 can get kit to keep tools and spare prop in.....

How was the performance of the original prop? If it lacked a little, go down a little in pitch. If it struggled, go up in dia and down in pitch. Hard to suggest a different prop without knowing what the goals or hurdles are.

The OEM OJ 741 prop is a fine all around prop. I just bought another and will keep the boat on the lift until I put the new prop on.
