So on full throttle tonight mine got up to 178

when i back down to 30-31 mph, it was in the 160’s

My question would be why are you running at wide open throttle for sustained periods of time??

Sustained periods of time......like when the lake is smooth at dawn and you are getting back To your dock.....talking 2 minutes........you trying to say these boats can’t be run on smooth water at the top end??? By the way, 4th inboard and 2nd tige.....the oil pressure and operating temps of these motors are missing in the manual, which is why the post

Just don't believe running at 5000-5200 RPMs is worth it in the long run. Just my opinion. They are tractors. Would rather cruise 24-26 down in the 4k range. Its the same block and internals as 6.2 f250/f350 gasser. I wouldn't run one of those at 5k for two minutes sustained either,, but thats just me..Everyone's mileage varies. Was just curious, not judging.
