HELP belt snapped on lake

Belt just snapped out on lake. Does anyone know what size I would need for a 2011 R20 303 PCM. Going to try auto parts store. Thanks

Take the belt with you. They can measure it and give you what you need.

and from a website selling the belt:

Belt measures 13/16" wide
62-1/4" overall length

Is my raw water pump pulley supposed to freely rotate when the belt is off or just wiggle a little back and forth

Every water pump I've ever had I could turn by hand (Some with more force then others). You and I have different boats so I would let the smarter mechanics answer this for sure.... But I'd also add that belts dont shred themselves randomly - something kept it from moving or rubbed up against it. You may be onto something here and may have an impeller or bearing issue.

Have you ever replaced the impeller before?

no.... not if the impeller is in good shape.

Boom - and I'm wrong... I thought you could turn it Gumby... Thanks for clarification! the newer water pumps must be different.

Ok that seems good then. How hard is it to put a new belt on? Any torque requirements or?
