    No more spray pockets!!!!!!

Okay, after a bunch of research on the spray pockets I decided to have them filled in by a body guy I know. He has done extensive fiberglass work over his career, including building boats from scratch. He had me go to a junk yard and by a fiberglass canopy for a truck so that he could use the angle of that to match up with the boat. He glassed in ribs for strength, then covered it all up. Went back and drilled holes and sprayed in foam. Then sealed it up and shot the gel coat. It turned out better then I could have ever expected.

The guy works for ridiculously cheap, all together it cost me.....Wait for it....... 350$ including materials

    Before the work shots

Here are some of the shots from the work.

Wow, you will have to tell us how that holds up and the differences that you notice besides the obvious of course.

You should have had him install a ballast system in there too.

        Nice work!!!

I already installed the ballast system this winter. Pics to follow.

I'm sure the fill in will hold up just fine. That was my biggest concern. He told me I could hit it with a 5lbs hammer if I didn't trust it. I didn't oblige of course.

                  Looks great!

In the last pic - did your license plate catch a little bit of overspray? Or was that just smudging the photo for privacy?

no the license plate was photoshopped out. I usually don't care about stuff like that so I don't even know why I did it.

I'm water testing everything this week so I'll let you guys know how it turned out.

Wow..that's really cool. Hopefully you can get up some before and after on the water pics. I would love to know how well it works. Also, whats the dual trailer bunk setup for? Prop clearance? I have a pretty tight fit with my prop and trailer so i may try something like that. Is it sturdy?
I'd rather be a conservative nut job than a liberal with no nuts and no job.
