2014 Z1 - would you recommend?

I recently joined this group. It’s been super helpful. We just sold our 2000 Tige so we can get something newer. We found a 2014 Z1 and it seems like a good price. I’m wondering what you may know about this mode/year? Are they generally solid? Ive read some issues in this group where there have been issues with the throttle and alternator?
The boat we are looking at seems and looks great, but it’s a little scary buying a used boat, but this one fits right in our price range.
I’d love any thoughts on buying this boat, and would love any tips you have for me.

We owned a 2014 Z1 and loved it! Good boat, solid all around. Not hard to dial in a good surf wave. Add some lead, get larger bags in the back from Mikes Liquid Audio (on here), and take care of the vinyl. There have been some people with issues with that years vinyl. We never experienced the same problems. Also never heard or had any issues with the alternator or throttle.

same year z3 here. no issues with us on the alternator or throttle.
we do have issues with vinyl so check that out good. issue seems to be around seams where seats touch and there's some rubbing or friction.
our tigetouch panel also has some delamination/bubbles going on so I'm sure that will be a couple grand at some point. check that out.

otherwise solid boats that should perform very well for years to come.

Z1 is the overlooked boat. Really my favorite in the line until the 23zx came out (two completely different animals). Just a great all around boat that could produce a heck of a big wave for it's size. Easy to tow, fits in most garages, handles very well, slaloms well, easy to work on, just an almost perfect boat to me.
