Bravo X and the the input shaft is stuck in the drive plate because of the forces involved. Check out the prop shaft and oh yeah, there's a hole in the front of the lower unit bullet...Does anyone want to venture a guess at which western lake this occurred?Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

The input shaft is stuck in the drive plate, forged steel into aluminum. We learned in welding school you can weld two different metals together by what's called "impact" welding. Case in point. Transom steering pins are wobbly so needs new drive, transom assembly and drive plate...a little over $16k.Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

We already have two good wrecks for the year here. This one is the worst of the two. Sadder part is this is the second time owner had found the same pile of rocks.

Look at the twisted splines. That takes some serious force. Looks like the prop rotated against rocks for a while (because all blades are damaged) but I bet that shaft twist came from a single sudden torque shock. Wow.
