First Face Plant of the Season

We had our Norris Lake Spring (Shrinkage) Trip with the guys the weekend of April 24-25. The weather was not too cooperative as we had to dodge some Spring thunderstorms. The water temp was about 70 degrees. So, most of the time, we just trunked it. We were able to get in some slalom, wakeboarding and wake surfing runs.

While playing around with a new wakeboard and bindings, I was able to successfully complete my first official face plant of the season.

This is one reason why offensive linemen should not strap their feet onto a board and attempt to skim across the surface of the water behind a boat.

It is always great to get the legs back under you after a long, cold winter.

So c'mon, post 'em up if you got them. Let's see some other crashes.

That made my day..... I only played football through High School, but I have told my boys that I never got hit as hard as a good face plant on a wakeboard.

How fast were you going? That run looked like you were maybe doing 18mph, pick it up a notch! I agree with Diesel, move some people around to clean up that wake!

Yeah, we were going slow - first run of the year, new board & bindings, etc.

Based on the damage that I can do to myself within the wake, I don't think I need to worry about cleaning it up!

hahahaha, that made me laugh.... I don't know how many times I have faceplanted the first or second year of trying to wakeboard. It is definitely an eye wakener.
