Cracked tower 2017 rzx2

Top tower weld cracked through and through today.
wakeboard and wake surf only.

Thoughts? Is this an issue on these towers?
need to replace completely or weld?
warranty?

It looks to me like the welds cracked. If that’s the case, I would think they can be repaired by a qualified shop. That is only 3 years old, is it covered under warranty?

Seems like I remember this happening to a couple others. As I recall Tige had few built, but then switched to a different builder or something like that. The other towers on here that broke had really bad welds. Your tower looks like the good ones.

Did you hear it pop and see the crack right away or was this something you noticed afterwards? I'll guess and say the extra stress from wakeboarding was what caused it, even though the tower should be able to handle that stress. Unlikely surfing was the issue.

Didn’t hear it. Just noticed it at the end of the day when we were cleaning up. Any idea on the fix? Re weld vs replace?
