Broken trim tab?

I was replacing the o-rings inside the trim tab of my 2006 tige 24ve and never having done it before, i made the mistake of pushing down the plate (instead of using a hose clamp) while unscrewing the shaft from the upper hinge. When it unthreaded completely the shaft busted free with some force and from inside the upper hinge, what I believe is the spacer fell out and exposed two wires. Did I just break this piece off?! I don’t see where wires could go into the spacer but where would they go to? Any help would be appreciated!

Unfortunately your coil is done. You can purchase just the coil and not the entire actuator. Be sure it is the one with green wires. You can put it back together for this weekend (i would leave out the coil and rod) but you will not have an indicator on the dash for its location.

Okay thank you for the info. I guess I’ll just use it like that for the weekend and see if I can’t find a new coil
