    2013 z3 interior help...

I have known about the '13 interI or issues for a while. Well the time has come to get it all replaced. For those who have done this or know someone who has done this...

will the new model skins fit a 2013?

I tried to have Tige make me new skins for my ‘14 last year in ‘19, even though it was still within the 5 years. They were the same skins that had not changed though ‘18. They refused to do it, and it really, really pisses me off. I will remember it when I buy a new boat this summer.

Kind of the same boat. Tige got me new new vinyl but I cant find anyone wiling to do all the sewing. Since the COvid I can't get Tige to return an email.

why would they not agree to sell you skins? Did you want the same pattern or did they offer in Stock colors/patterns, or just tell you they had no interest in helping you?

It was very frustrating, they just said the boat was too old. I said the skins I was requesting were the port engine cover and corner steps and cooler lid that had not changed. He said “Sir, I’m not going to argue with you”. I was open to anything they would do, I don’t understand it.

fwiw we had an issue with shipping our '14 z3 and needed to get some matching diamond pattern vinyl for the 2 panels below the tower. when I reached out to Koolaid on here they really didn't want to sell me any of the material as they are running low or out of stock on some of the older vinyl and what was left in stock they need to keep on hand to support warranty work. that could be driving some of the decisions. vinyl switched to a different line in '17 or '18 from what I was told and they are a little stingy with the older stuff.

we came to an agreement that helped us out so might try reaching out to him. Koolaid is the bomb but not sure how visible he is on here now as the plant seems to be making more facemasks than boats.

mj we are in the same situation. I have stuff to fix the boat but finding an upholstery shop to do the work is tough. gave up last year and will probably work on it again this fall.

We have a 2013 Z3 and I am researching our options for getting the interior replaced. The boat has been meticulously maintained and we have never used harsh cleaning chemicals on the interior yet the vinyl on all the seating bottom cushions is heavily cracked on the sides, especially at the corners. I am very disappointed that the interior has not held up better. I sold our 93' Crown Line last summer and the interior was near perfect for a 20+ year old boat. Hopefully Tige has fixed this issue and is using higher quality materials now days. So has anybody gotten Tige to help out with replacement skins or at least the patterns for earlier Tige models? Or we totally on our own here?

^^this is going to get you as close as possible to a match. Dont think you will be able to replicate the diamond stitching unless you or a upholstery shop stitch it in.
