    22ve Measurements

I am currently getting ready to buy a new house. I have a 2008 22ve with the Sampson tower. Does anyone know the height of the boat on the trailer with the tower folded down? My boat is not here with me so I cannot measure. I have never folded my tower down so I can't even really picture it. I am trying to work it so I can put the boat in my garage. If anyone happens to know the width that will also be helpful. Thanks for everyones help.

If you are on a standard trailer (14/15" wheels), you should be able to clear a 7' door with the samson tower folded down.

What trailer do you have? That could make or break your deal. If you have 7.5 or an 8 foot garage in the place you are looking at, it doesn't matter which trailer you have because it will fit.

It gets interesting around the 7 foot mark on the garage IMO.

I have a dorsey trailer with standard size wheels. The house I am looking at has a 7 foot garage.

More info. I have 07 22 Ve w factory tower w height at 7 feet 3 inches when folded down. We have 7 foot garage door. We got inside garage by dropping tire pressure by half (or more) and folding the trailer jack down all the way and resting trailer front on a rolling tire jack. Squeaked inside but worth it cause boat stayed dry and out of the weather. Very tight fit. I don't know if our tower is Sampson - its factory tower. Its 3 car garage and boat goes sideways since trailer is too long and barely fits lengthwise. we remove swim platform too. Trailer does not have folding tongue in front which is real handy. Jim
