    Swim pllatform brackets

    Anyone ever removed the brackets for their swim platform?
    I'd like to remove mine and have them powder coated. I'm just not sure what I am getting into when removing the bolts that fasten them to the boat? Will I be messing with the integrity of that connection??

    My bolts that go through the hull to attach the brackets to were a HUGE PITA to get to, I had to tighten mine up as they became loose.


    Really sucked. But not sure what model you have.... Some are easier then others.

      ah, so the bolts go thru the hull and fasten to a backing plate. That does sound like a PITA. Maybe I'll just mask everything off and paint them on the boat..

        What boat do you have?

        in mine (21ir) yes it sucked. SPBfan has a 24ve and it was easy... If you can see the bolts on the back side then you can decide how easy it would/wouldn't be

          21i. I'd either have to remove the floor in the storage area or underneath. I'll take a look and see.
