I've heard the 20V is due for a serious makeover, but have not heard a peep about anything like a pickle-fork 20' Hmmmm!

Last year, it was not too hard to find an X-2 for 50K. If you pay more than 60K now, then I think you are spending way too much. Times have changed some, but I would not count on the Tige being much cheaper than the MC. I think Tige's vision is to compete on equal ground, not as the more affordable alternative. Tige may be able to make an X-2 slayer for sure, but I would not count on it being cheaper.
I agree with that too. Tige has stepped up their boats recently (Especially in the last 3 years) but their price has stepped up to right in line with the other guys, not real sure if that will work out that great in the end for Tige or any other boat for that matter

I have seen much different things. First off i dont believe its possible to compete on equal grounds with MC cuz they feel that they are much higher standard then all others. That is besides the point. The fact is that i have been to all the boat shows so far and my most recent one was a month ago and the 2010 x2's were at a WHOPPING 87,000 boat show special. At the orlando show (where the worlds greatest salesman was) the x2's were also in the 80's and the xstar was at an amazing boat show special of 112,000.00. So if you guys can honestly tell me that tige's compete on the same level of pricing then you better start finding a dealer that is selling RZ2's for 100,000.00 cuz i dont believe there is one.
I agree that Tige has stepped up there boats a bunch in the last 3 years they haven't produced stuff like they are now ever and its the best thing they have done. You all want all the bells and whistles but when it comes down to the price your not happy. Tige gave you everything you asked for and did it for a lot less then MC CC. So if your not liking the pricing on them you may start hoping that they are making a boat to compete with the Axis A22 Fully loaded for 49000.
Tige's Vision Is To Build The Best For The Best Value. Not to be the highest price huh huh i mean standard!

The RZ2 that tige sent to the INT in 2008 was listed at 92k, that's darn close to 100k. it's MSRP if I remember correctly was 101k... I would say that tige considers it the same as MC. That being said no one would pay that for it, but just saying.

In regards to pricing, I can only relate what I experienced when I bought my boat last summer. I bought a new 09 RZ2. The MC dealer had an 08 X-star (loaded) for $75k, an 08 X-30 for $73k (avg options), and an 08 X-35 (few options) for $78k. He had an 09 X-35 for $83k (good options)...and I have a friend who bought an 09 X-55 (loaded) for low $90's. The sticker prices on these were much much higher. I didn't like the dealer and the prices were a lot higher than I wanted to spend.
I understand the pricing that you saw at the boat shows, but sounds like they are the retail (or MSRP) pricing...not actually what they really sell them for. When I first walked into the MC store they showed the retail pricing. Once they knew I was going to buy a boat, they started showing me their actual desired price. Of course they still couldn't get where I needed them to be.
My RZ2 was a lot less than the MC's listed above. I realize my boat is 22' and most of those are 23', but I still think the comparison is close enough.
In the end, I do think MC's price themselves higher and always will...they see themselves as superior and part of the image is the price point...my opinion. Tige is closing the gap in pricing with MC, but I see them still being priced at least a bit less than MC's until they can "demand" the same pricing as MC....they have to gain ground. Part of the allure of Tige is to offer boats that rival MC's perceived quality/performance at a bit lower price point.
Again...this is solely based on what I experienced last summer. Things may have changed since then. I would be curious to hear from those that have bought 2010's...

No i am the Tige dealer and these are actual prices that i compete with everyday not MSRP!
I agree with you totally!
I have grown to love the idea of the pickle fork my boat bow is so small. Hopefully they will totally redesign that hull to give a bit more of a wake and get as close to 2k of weight in that boat as possible!!

I may take some of that back after hearing some of the feedback here. A brief boattrader.com search shows 3 new 09's for 66K. I suspect they would expect to go 10% off of that. New 10's are going to be higher than that for sure, and there won't be many of them next spring, as that MC should have learned to control their inventory better now.
Anyone remember this? it seems to be in line with what I see them go for most of the time.
Some of you might have seen my thread on Wakeworld where I about crapped my pants when I saw the Centurion Enzo for more than 100K. I don't know how much they were willing to down from there, but they boldly placed the plaque with the price. I was hungry, they did not have burgers like they said on the flyer they sent me, so I left and didn't have time to explore it. But I liked their tower. It is very similar to the Alpha Z, but about a foot taller. Why the Alpha Z is so short is beyond me. This is me with the Centurion tower...I am 6'9" tall for reference.
