How have they taken to the knee board?? I have one that we've never used. In fact, I have no idea how to instruct them to get up on it.

Are you kidding me? Kneeboards rule for teaching little ones and big ones to get the feel of the boat. And they have a blast with it! We often pull 2 at a time so they can spray each other and high-five and stuff.

Do you hook the rope up to the boat? Do they start with their knees in the strap in a kneeling position? It looks like your daughter is laying on the board. Seriously, I would love to teach them to kneeboard!

Have them start on their belly. As soon as the boat pulls, they need to tuck their knees up under their belly, but tell them to stay low and keep the rope handle on the front of the board with both hands. Go slow, and I mean really slow. Have them sit up as they are comfortable.

Have them practice a couple of times on the boat. When kids are really little, you can get in the water with them and have them start on their knees. But you need to be in there to keep them upright.

Oh, and most importantly!!!! have them just sit on the strap or take it off. They will freak out if they get turned over, head under the water and can't get out of the strap.

This little one had great balance and was very small, not top heavy. And in the second pic he is actually on his knees, just not sitting up very straight.

I just ordered a kneeboard after talking to ImaPigDog about his. One question....does it matter if I use a wakeboard rope...that's all I have.

Any rope will do just fine. Your kids will have a blast with it. I took a friend of mine out who kneeboarded 20 years ago... he landed this but couldn't hold on to the rope. Then he was too tired to go again.
