Ready to buy a 2010 Tigé RZ2

Hi,

I live in Switzerland, and I am ready to buy a brand new 2010 Tigé RZ2. Any feedback about this boat is welcome. Quality wise, how is this boat? I am currently the owner of a 2007 Tigé 20V and I am not fully happy with the quality and reliability of this boat. The other boat that I like is the Malibu 23 LSV. Thank you for your comments.

I was expecting this question. Main issues were on the shaft and gauges. I have been told that Tigé has made a lot of improvements quality wise during the last 3 years. This is why I am open to buy a new one + my dealer is offering a very good price.

Just make sure all the wires above your battery are tied up really well, or the back end of your boat may catch on fire like mine all most did! The ground terminal from the transom remote option swung down contacting the positive terminal of the battery. This caused a direct short and burnt up a bunch of wires in the rear of the boat. Also took out the alternator and made the Cruise Control act erratically until i finally investigated the problem myself and found the root cause...

I guess that there is one argument to have a box. I do not have mine in a box either...so I carry a little risk that something like that could happen.

Tige' didn't seem to give too hoot's from what i gathered after talking to my dealer. Siting that they have never had any similar problems. Guess that means its no big deal? The dealer did try to make it right but was still a few strokes off Par...

I have one season (and 55 hours) on my 09 RZ2 and haven't had any real issues with it. I think the build quality is great so far....though I'm not sure 55 hours is enough to really know. From what I understand there have been vinyl issues in the past...but others could comment on that better than I. For the deal I got, I have no regrets...

I would personally go with the LSV as well. Tige has stepped it up the last couple years in terms of options, etc. If both boats were similarly priced and equiped I would go Malibu, but thats up to you.

I find the Bu Wake better especially with the power wedge and both boats now have screens in the dash, snap out carpet, very similar tower (Although I like the new Malibu tower and its a little taller)good build quality, etc. Make sure with the Bu you get at least the 340 Monsoon engine.

I have a buddy with an 04 LSV and it still looks and runs like new with over 400 hours on it, very good boat in my opinion. I have ridden behind Eddie Trogdon's (on this site)VLX and the wake is very nice with simply factory ballast, wedge, and a little extra weight. Both boats can surf well too if thats what your into.

What about the engine? Which one would you recommend? The PCM 5.7L or the PCM 6.0L?

I don't know the cost difference. I typically advocate getting the larger engine if possible; however, I have the PCM 343 Excaliber in mine and have zero issues with performance...it's definitely up to the task. If I was ordering new and wanted to save a few bucks, the 343 would be a great place to do it...
